Réplique de la Statue de la Liberté
FRÉDÉRIC-AUGUSTE BARTHOLDI was a French sculptor and the creator of the famous Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island in New York, which was originally called the Bartholdi Statue. He was born on August 2nd 1834 in Colmar, France and died on October 4th 1904 in the French capital Paris. The Statue of Liberty was a gift from France to the USA in 1886 and to celebrate the centuries-old ties between the two countries, this sculpture of a miniature of the large statue was inaugurated on February 1st 2014 by Christian Estrosi, the deputy mayor of Nice. The „Réplique de la Statue de la Liberté“, or in English „Replica of the Statue of Liberty“ illuminates now the world of FRÉDÉRIC-AUGUSTE BARTHOLDI on the Quai des États Unis, which would mean in English the „United States Quay“.
