EGYPT: Aswan – The Aswan Dam – “es Sadd el Ali” – The High Dam – Electricity to the Cities

The Aswan Dam, also called “es Sadd el Ali”, is located in southern Egypt about 13 kilometers south or upstream of the city of Aswan and dams the Nile to create Lake Nasser. The reservoir has a capacity of around 169 cubic kilometers of water.
