EGYPT: Luxor Suburb Villages – The Alabaster Forges – Colorful Streetart at the Craftsmen

The Valley of the Kings was not built in this place without reason. Regardless of the geometric constellations, an important aspect was that just around the corner there were extensive deposits of alabaster, basalt, granti and other high-quality rock types. Many of the mines still exist, as well as the craft families and guilds with their workshops. Around the excavation sites you can find such parlors everywhere, from large to small. Very many are painted from the outside, with a mixture of alternative advertising banner for their own store and ancient characters. Hieroglyphics and Streetart. Here we have a photo collection of urban artworks from the workers villages around the Valley of the Kings like Al’Asasif, at’Tarif, Quasr al_Aguz, Al Biirat and Nagaa Raml.
