“Tower of Songs” – Homage to Leonard Cohen
This fantastic artwork which shows Canadian singer-songwriter, writer, poet and painter Leonard Cohen is one of the rare murals in downtown Montréal. It was created from a photo of his daughter Lorca Cohen by artists EL MAC & GENE PENDON. You can find another huge one dedicated to Leonhard Cohen and made by KEVIN LEDO on the building at Rue Napoleon 53.
One of the interesting things about downtown Montréal is this odd mix of old architecture and North American style skyscrapers. This incongruous mixture is particularly striking around the crescent street very close to Leonard Cohen’s mural. This street is also one of Montréal’s nightlife hotspots. – Patrice Loranger
