Engloutie – Engulfed
The mural represents a young person, most likely a student. It seems repelled by an invisible force. Blown away by her apprenticeships and her student life? The mural is located just in front of the magnificent Saint-Laurent College (Cégep). Moreover, the creator RAFAEL SOTTOLICHIO studied and graduated there in plastic arts (1991-1993). The mural is an interpretation of a painting by RAFAEL SOTTOLICHIO painted in 2006. For the anecdote, the artist says that one of his teachers always told him: “Put more yellow!” Decidedly, the lesson has been well learned! – Patrice Loranger
