Mémoire de l’eau – Water Memory
The mural, entitled: Mémoire de l’eau, is located near the Pointe-Claire marina. The artists of the collective ART DU COMMUN wanted to highlight the history of Pointe-Claire, intimately linked to Lac Saint-Louis, a widening of the Saint-Laurent river at the height of the municipality. Archival images have been used to represent these historical aspects. Water from Lake Saint-Louis is present on each facade of the small building used as a support. Nautical, resort and agricultural scenes are depicted and recall the importance of the watercourse for the inhabitants of Pointe-Claire of all eras. – Patrice Loranger
