CANADA: Streetart Montréal – Lachine – 229 Boulevard Saint Joseph – ARTGANG MONTREAL

Lachine Zoo

This mural was created by the two artists from Lachine, ALEXIS MASELLA and LOUIS-NICHOLAS COUPAL, members of the ARTGANG MONTREAL collective. These two people who worked for the Lachine Graffiti Program, ten years ago, did not hesitate to accept the mandate. They always make it their mission to promote graffiti from an artistic point of view and to show young people that positive actions can emerge from their passion. References to the maritime aspect of Lachine can be seen on the mural. Cycling is also in the spotlight. A logo of the city of Montreal is visible and an ice hockey player wearing the jersey of the Lachine Maroons, a long-lost junior team, reminds us of our passion for this sport and its history.  –  Patrice Loranger
