The building on which the magnificent ANKH mural is painted houses the Catholic Community Services Foundation. This foundation administers and manages the assets of the English-speaking Catholic community of Montreal. It also organizes fundraisers that are used to make donations to various community organizations and charities. Since 2000, the organization has donated more than 1 billion Canadian dollars to help the most disadvantaged in our society.
Two emblematic birds of Quebec are represented on the mural. The blue jay, from the crow family very present in the woods of the Montreal region. Magnificent birds with intense blue colors, but with an aggressive cry! The Canada goose. A large migrating goose that punctuates our autumns and our springs with its V-shaped flight formations and its cries of calls so soft to our ears. – Patrice Loranger
