Minsk is the capital of Belarus and with about 1.9 million inhabitants the largest city in the country and political, economic and cultural center. The architecture is characterized by monumental buildings from the Stalin era and countless churches in the cityscape, but also numerous museums, theaters or universities. Particularly striking is Lenin Square with the KGB headquarters and the “Red Church”.
