MALAYSIA: Streetart Kota Kinabalu – Sabah Urban Art on Borneo Island

Kota Kinabalu is the capital of the Malaysian state of Sabah on the island of Borneo and is located directly on the South China Sea. The city has around 552.000 inhabitants and is an important economic, cultural and tourist centre of the region. Kota Kinabalu is especially famous for its beautiful tropical islands, rainforests and its proximity to Mount Kinabalu, which is 4,095 metres high. Popular attractions include the Kota Kinabalu City Mosque, the Gaya Street Sunday Market, the Central Market and Tanjung Aru Beach, which is well known for its spectacular sunsets. Just off the coast lies Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park, a group of five islands that are perfect for swimming, snorkelling and diving. And of course you can also find urban artworks around the streets. Here is a great collection by photographer MAZZANTI.
