Tribute to Taras Schewtschenko – Биста на Тарас Шевченко
Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko was a Ukrainian painter and poet, and he laid the foundation for the creation of modern Ukrainian literature. He was born on March 9th in 1814 in Moryntsi in Ukraine, and died on March 10th in 1861 in Saint Petersburg in Russia. The poet is also honored in North Macedonia, particularly through this monument, which highlights his importance to literature, art, and the struggle for freedom.
