Tribute to the founders of IMRO in 1893 

The Monument to the Founders of the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization (IMRO) 1893 is a statue located in the Woman Warrior Park, part of the city’s controversial Skopje 2014 project. This monument honors the founders of the revolutionary group established in 1893, aiming for autonomy for the Macedonian region, and is situated near other significant statues and the Skopje Parliament. The founders shown with statues are Hristo Tatarchev, Petar Poparsov, Hristo Batandzhiev, Dame Gruev, Ivan Hadzhinikolov, and Andon Dimitrov.
