Monument to the Defenders of Macedonia in 2001
The monument is a memorial in honoring Macedonian soldiers killed during the 2001 conflict with the National Liberation Army (NLA), listing their names on its base. Located near Macedonia Square anXd the Arch of Macedonia, it’s part of the city’s extensive memorial landscape, commemorating the conflict’s fallen, with similar memorials existing in other towns like Strumica.
