„Les nouvelles Mariannes“ – „The new Mariannes“
As part of the Côte d’Azur Habitat Centennial in 2024, a series of six monumental murals honoring the iconic revolution figure of Marianne was organized by the WHOLE STREET association with five of its collective artists. This project was carried out in partnership with the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, the City of Nice, and Côte d’Azur Habitat, which launched a call for expressions of interest (CEI) to improve residents‘ living conditions and promote culture and creativity accesible for all. This CEI was addressed to professional teams, project leaders, with shared values: liberty, equality, fraternity, solidarity, citizenship, environmental protection, democracy, and secularism. Ultimately, the WHOLE STREET won with its project „Les nouvelles Mariannes“. The association was able to create giant urban artworks on several residences in the historic neighborhoods of Côte d’Azur Habitat.
