„Les Puces de Nice“ or „The Flea Market of Nice“ is located near the harbor Port Lympia and offers an interesting collection of antiques, art objects, vintage clothing and treasures that can be found in several small boutiques and shops. This alone is worth seeing, but apart from the market, the exterior facades and the walls in the alleyways between the stores are also a small urban art collection with works by great artists. In particular, the two art galleries GCA GALLERY and L’ATLIER FRANCK MICHEL have repeatedly carried out mural projects with artists who have exhibited at their premises. However, individual works have also been added by other artists. It is a small semi-open air museum. Check out as well the photography exhibition on the outside walls with works by BASTIEN SOLEIL.

On September 30th 2015, on the occasion of his solo show at GCA Gallery, the Italian artist ETNIK painted a 3,10 x 3 meters mural at Les Puces de Nice. The title „I Colori dell’ Autumn“, or in English“The Colors of Autumn” is now available for all visitors. – GCA Gallery

C215

On march 3rd 2016 the artist C215 was in Nice. He took this opportunity to paint a mural depicting the portrait of french artist Ernest Pignon-Ernest at Les Puces de Nice. C215 also came to GCA Gallery for a book signing session of his monography published by Albin Michel. The event was organized in collaboration with librairie Jean Jaurès with the presence of French television broadcaster TV France 3 and Nice Matin to cover the event. – GCA Gallery
