„Gustave V – Roi de Suede“ – „Gustav the 5th – King of Sweden“
Oscar Gustaf Adolf Bernadotte, or Gustav V, was King of Sweden from 1907 to 1950. He lived from June 16th 1858 to October 29th 1950. He was a great fan of France, especially Nice, where he made a habit of staying every year from 1904 onwards. Gustav V. was made an honorary citizen of Nice in 1936 and in this occassion the bust was created by the Swedish sculptor JÖNSON ANDERS. It is located in the park Jardin de L’Arménie at Avenue de Suede and Avenue Gustave V.
