„Humanite“
The City of Nice about the project: „The Rives du Paillon local authority, together with its councillor Fatima Khaldi and the Culture department’s artistic creation department, have commissioned a fresco on the outside walls of the Pasteur Sports Center at 23 Rue du Professeur Delvalle. The wall is 2.11 meters high and 30.78 meters long. It was created by artist CÉSAR MAFIDANO aka CÉSAR MALFI. The work is entitled „Humanite“. It conveys strong values linked to sport and education: tolerance, diversity, transmission of knowledge, victory. The work represents the faces of gods, symbolizing the legacy of knowledge over generations. The idea behind encasing it is to make this transfer eternal. It features the Goddess Victoria to symbolizing victorious women, Hercules for sport and Socrates for knowledge. All the naïve silhouettes are in the style of FERNAND LÉGER, who is an artist from the Côte d’Azur and works with symbolizing local transmission. – Ville de Nice
