FINTAN MAGEE was born in 1985 in Lismore NSW, Australia. He became part of the Australian graffiti scene at the age of 13. Around 2010, he began to move away from traditional graffiti to create large-scale murals that often adorned secluded, abandoned or destroyed parts of the city. His figurative paintings are deeply integrated with the urban environment, exploring themes of waste, consumption, loss, transition and the environment. His works also contain a sentimentality and softness inspired by children’s books and the artistic movement „Lowbrow“. In 2024, FINTAN MAGEE’s mural was replaced by a new mural, created by MONA CARON, as part of the Borås Art Biennial.
