Tribute to Jean-Marc Vallée
Jean-Marc Vallée, born in 1963 and died too early in 2021, was a Montreal director and screenwriter. From the mid-1985s, he directed music videos and short films. In the mid-1990s, he won several awards with a few short films and became known to the public. He became known in Hollywood with his first feature film, but it was with C.R.A.Z.Y., which was released in 2005, that he found success and recognition. From that moment on, the films followed one after the other and international recognition materialized.
Let us mention, in particular, Café de Flore, Dallas Buyers Club and Wild. Jean-Marc Vallée is known for his musical universe. These films are always marked by it and this gives a special touch to his work. Jean-Marc Vallée died on Christmas Day 2021 of cardiac arrest.
