Metro Sherbrooke Mosaic
In Montreal, you have a really great collection of arts in our Metro system. Here is a beautiful mosaic created in 1969 inside Sherbrooke Metro station on the Orange line. Born in Montréal, painter GABRIEL BASTIEN (1923-1977) co-founded the École professionnelle d’art commercial in 1960. Born in Buia, Italy, ANDREA VAU (1934-1997) came to Canada in the mid-1950s to pursue his calling as a mosaicist. In 1969 they created this artwork together. – Patrice Loranger
