Inne i Björns rum – Inside Björn’s room
A star-shaped craft has landed on Rymdtorget between Bergsjöskolan and the tram stop. This creative starfish was cast from simple concrete and then beautifully decorated with countless mosaic pieces in a colorful pattern. Since then, he has greeted people who go to the tram or come home from there. The sketch for the work was made already in 1999 by the artist KATARINA NORLING at the place of an artist colleague called Björn. So therefore the title for the final artwork, which is “Inne i Björns rum” or in English “Inside Björn’s room”. Some years later it became an urban artwork and the colorful creation was inaugurated in 2005. The great artist KATARINA NORLING was born on 26th February in 1963 in Sweden’s capital Stockholm and died on 20th April 2019 in the Estonian capital Tallinn.
