The artist about the artwork: “A summery and colorful meadow filled with varieties of flowers that exist only in pretend. Hope you will be happy when you pass this work, whether it is a warm afternoon in August or a snowy morning in January.”
HEDVIG WALLIN was born in 1993 and is an illustrator and graphic designer from Gothenburg, educated at Malmö University. Her illustration career began at the age of 18 with various children’s book projects, and children’s books in particular are something she still often illustrates. Hedvig is greatly inspired by naïve art, with the childlike simplicity of both expression and technique. Her style is playful with a lot of detail and a skewed perspective, as well as an effort to attract the viewer’s imagination and for new details to appear every time you look at the pictures.
