These four beautiful works of art by SABRINA LUTHFA, JAKOB NYBERG, AMARA POR DIOS, LINNEA JARDEMARK, LILIPPA EDHOLM and HANNA EKEGREN were created on several wooden construction site fences. In 2023 they were still visible and they will be there for a while. But only temporarily and until the construction site work is finished.

The artist about the artwork: “This colorful painting represents the longing of a woman for a home, to belong somewhere.” In her painting, SABRINA LUTHFA applies vibrant colors and combines patterns from the folk art and street art of Bangladesh. Her painting reflects the culture of her motherland. She is self-taught. For her, painting is a hobby. She is a university lecturer at Högskolan Väst, Trollhättan, where she teaches International Business.

JAKOB NYBERG
This colorful mural is named “Sommaräng” or in English “Summer Meadow” and was made by the JAKOB NYBERG. He said about the artwork: “A landscape where roles, screen printing and brush have been allowed to model a summer meadow, a place for healing, enjoyment and recreation. A concert in colors.” JAKOB NYBERG, born and based in Gothenburg, multidisciplinary artist combines abstract painting and silkscreen techniques. Also carries out motif-based murals for restaurants and public spaces. He also works with abstract sculptures and contemporary jewellery. Educated at HDK, KV Art School & Holbaek Kunsthøjskole. Inspired by nature, Asian and African art, art deco, architectural and historical forms.

LINNEA JARDEMARK & FILIPPA EDHOLM
This artwork has the title “Välkommen på fika” or in English “Welcome to coffee” and was made by LINNEA JARDEMARK and FILIPPA EDHOLM. The artists said about the artwork: “During a week, passers-by at Stenpiren were invited to a coffee break during the execution of the painting on the plank. The artists have previously used collaborative measuring as a way to create space for reflection and rest. It is hoped that the work can open up conversations about community and values in live.” LINNEA JARDEMARK and FILIPPA EDHOLM are both trained visual artists in Fri Art at HDK Valand. Since 2017 they have collaborated on projects in painting, installation and participatory art.

HANNA EKEGREN
This great artwork is named “Framsidan” or in English “The Front” and was created by the artist HANNA EKEGREN. She said about the artwork: “The collage-like motif shows fragments of what gives me happiness and security when I think of Gothenburg. A city, like a person, has many sides that make up the whole. On this plank, puzzle pieces of what I like to highlight come together. Some of what has made Gothenburg has been my home ever since I sat in the child’s seat on my father’s bike as we sped along the harbor in the mid-70s.” HANNA EKEGREN‘s paintings are based on thoughts and feelings. Conscious or subconscious. Based on the equal value of everyone, regardless of ethnicity, sexual orientation or religion, the images are constructed using her characteristic form and color language. Layers of color where tones and shades give you energy, strength and joy. Hanna Ekegren is a painting artist with a family and studio on the outskirts of western Gothenburg. With a large number of exhibitions and events behind it, both in Sweden and abroad.
