Obelisk Nesvrstanih Zemalja  –  Obelisk of non-aligned Countries

The obelisk was erected on the occasion of the Belgrade Conference, which was held from 1st to 6th September in 1961 in Belgrade. It has four columns, tapers towards the top, and is 27 metres high. It was renovated in August 1989 on the occasion of the Ninth Conference of Non-Aligned Countries. The plaque below the Great Coat of Arms of Belgrade reads in Serbian and English: „Obelisk erected in September 1961 on the occasion of the First Conference of Non-Aligned Countries. Renovated in August 1989 on the occasion of the Ninth Conference of Non-Aligned Countries“.
