Tribute to Chemistry

This magnificent mural was dedicated to three of Serbia’s most important chemists. It was created by local artist MILAN MILOSAVLJEVI? aka DEROKS and is appropriately placed on the building of the Institute of Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy (ICTM) facing the Miticeva Rupa Park. The artwork shows geometric figures on a large wall that look like atoms and molecules. On the main wall of the building are portraits of three scientists who have had a major impact on the development of physical chemistry in Serbia. They are the academician Milutin Stefanovi? (1924-2009), the chemist, university professor and member of SANU Paula Putanov (1925-2014) and the academician Pavle Savi? (1909-1994), who had the greatest impact on the development of physical chemistry in Serbia.
