Tribute to Milutin Milankovic

Milutin Milankovi? was a Croatian civil engineer, mathematician and geoscientist. He was born on May 28th in 1879 in Dalj in Croatia and died on December 12th in 1958 in Belgrade. Milankovi? achieved great fame in Quaternary research and palaeoclimatology in 1920 through the calculation of the Milankovi? cycles, and he also founded the new calendar of the Orthodox Church. The PTT Technical Secondary School in the Bogoslovija district was named after him. Check out as well the large mural in his honor on the student dormitory.
