Cheb, formerly also known as Eger, is a city in the Karlovy Vary region in the far west of the country near the German border. It lies on the Oh?e River and, with a population of around 32,000, is an important location for education and industry. The first mentions of Cheb date back to the 11th century, and accordingly you can find an interesting historic old town with Swabian Gothic architecture. Cheb Castle, the only one in the country with the imperial falcon, is worth a visit, also recommended are the colorful merchant houses on King George of Pod?brady Square, the 13th-century St. Nicholas Church, and the Franciscan monastery. The streets of Cheb are of course also home to many urban works of art. The graffiti photos were taken by streetart hunter BAUQUELDIE.
