GREECE: Thessaloniki – Promenada & White Tower

In this chapter you will find the collected graffiti material along the sea side, the harbour area and the promenade. Directly on the water there is nearly no streetart, but I included some short part of the first streets. A very nice spot and a landmark of Thessaloniki is the beautiful White Tower at the coast on Leoforos Nikis (Greek: Λεωφόρος Νίκης, Leoforos Nikis). Translated it means the “Victory Boulevard”. Another recommendable spot for graffiti is the Aristotelion Theater and the “Lyceum for Intercultural Education of East-Thessaloniki”. Earlier it looked more like a storage hall or a factory building, then they put on color! The result is a nice concept group artwork. The whole building is painted, and with the fresh colors it gives it a completely different look.
